Pubudini Thilakarathne attended and underwent her primary and secondary education at Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, Kurunegala, where she had engaged in number of extra-curricular activities apart from studies. She was an active member of Astrological society, Nature club, Interact club and Girl Guide Association of the school. In 2014 she was employed as a Trainee teacher at Royal International School, Kurunegala where she successfully gained teaching experience for 6 months. Currently she is reading for a degree on B.Sc. (Hons) Biotechnology at Horizon Campus, Malabe. As a final year undergraduate, she is involving in a research on “an efficient method of micropropagation for a newly introduced sweetner plant (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) in Sri Lanka”. She loves the nature and interested in conservation of biodiversity. She hopes to bring reach her child hood dream of being a Scientist and make a contribution to the world.
