Horizon Campus signs Memorandum of Understanding with Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka

Horizon Campus Malabe signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka on 24th May 2023. Mr. Upul Daranagama, Chairman of Horizon Campus signed on behalf of Horizon Campus while Dr. Susantha Siriwardena, Acting Director of Rubber Research Institute, signed on behalf of Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka. The MOU was signed at the Office of RRISL, Telawala Road, Ratmalana.

The purpose of this MOU was to make available and use the facilities of Polymer Technology Laboratory of Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka for the undergraduate students of Horizon Campus who will be engaged in proposed degree program of BSc Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Polymer Technology. Through this MOU, the students will be able to use the facilities of the laboratories of RRISL and get an exposure to practical testing and demonstration of other aspects of polymer technology.

Mr. Ajitha Wanasinghe, CEO, Prof. SJBA Jayasekera, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ruwan Perera, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. HLO Obeyesekera, Dean Faculty of Technology, Mr. Indika Perera, General Manager, Marketing and Dr. Gamini Seneviratne participated from Horizon Campus, while Mr. Lakshman Abeysekera, Chairman of Rubber Research Board of Sri Lanka and several other senior officials of RRISL attended the function.
