We are excited to share that the Knowledge City Malabe – Building A has received the esteemed Gold Award for the Green Rated Building by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka. This achievement is a result of the collaborative efforts of architects, engineers, town planners, quantity surveyors, university academics, construction industry leaders, environmentalists, and business leaders who have come together to promote sustainable living practices in Sri Lanka.

The Knowledge City Malabe – Building A, owned and managed by Foresight Reality Ltd, is a beautiful structure that stands tall as a symbol of sustainable living in Sri Lanka. The building incorporates various sustainable features, including energy-efficient lighting, natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting, and a green roof. The green roof is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides insulation, reducing the building’s energy consumption.

This recognition has been awarded under the GREENSL® Rating – System for New  Buildings, which is a set of performance standards used to certify the operations and maintenance of commercial or institutional buildings of all sizes, both public and private. This certification promotes high performance, healthy, durable, and affordable environmentally sound buildings for all.

The Knowledge City Malabe – Building A sets an example for the rest of the construction industry in Sri Lanka to follow. We hope that this recognition inspires more architects, engineers, and town planners to incorporate sustainable practices into their designs and constructions.
