The Faculty of Technology was established in 2018, to cater to the increasing demands of technology education at undergraduate level created in the country especially due to the newly formed "Technology Stream" via local and international Advanced Level curricula. The faculty plans to be an internationally recognized centre of excellence aligning with the changing technological needs in society through teaching, research and knowledge sharing. The students will be exposed to advanced technologies in Bio Systems Technologies & Engineering Technologies and assisted to become technology professionals and innovators through multi and inter-disciplinary training and research exposure. The faculty has all the necessary facilities, including laboratories, workshops, libraries, reading rooms, Wi-Fi facilities and lecture halls, etc. The Faculty of Technology facilitates learners to be critical thinkers, innovators and productive contributors and change agents who can compete with global challenges. The Technology Education process consists of three major components such as Science and Technology, Application and Innovation and Value Addition through Value Chain Management. Such theoretical and practical knowhow and expertise would inspire the next generation to meet the challenges resulting from socio-economic and industrial demands of the world.
We offer Bachelor of Bio – Systems Technology Honours – BBST (Hons) under the discipline of technology to develop fully-fledged graduates who are competent in the latest technology as required by today's Agriculture, Bio Processing and Biotechnology industry. This is a 4-year program with fully structured curriculum and hands-on experience gained through industrial training, Work Based Learning (WBL) and research work enable students to achieve the necessary technology skills and scientific knowledge to overcome the challenges of the industry and stay abreast with the global industry trends. Student who are following BBST (Hons) degree program will be able to specialize in out of three areas given below, during the 3rd and 4th year the program.
